On Friday, May 21st, some members of the Rockford Speech Team visited our Language Arts classroom. The speech members shared tips for giving speeches and presented speeches to the sixth grade students. The experience is a kick off for our Demonstration Speech Unit that will begin on Monday.
While the Speech Team was visiting, they also shared what it is like to be a member of the Rockford Speech Team. Students in grades 7 through 12 can participate in this extra curricular activity. The initial meeting for students and parents will be in December 2010. Please watch for information and talk with your child about interest in becoming a member of the Rockford Speech Team.
